Layout is broken when applying short code using live composer on frontpage

Have tried the elements like HTML, Shortcode, Text and The content. But it does not work.

Can you give me direct link to the site with the plugin to see what is going on?

    It is www.prepstarclass.com

Do you need the username and password?

  • Molly Perry replied

We want to display the calendar on the front page.

  • Molly Perry replied

The plugin works fine if we use the short code inside a new page but it does not work when we apply the shortcode on the front page

What is happening exactly when you try to show the calendar on the front page? Not showing at all, broken layout?

    Good Morning Molly,

Try this. Go to your Dashboard -> St. Event Calendar -> General -> Misc and on "Force load calendar scripts" select Yes and let me know if the problem persist.

Progress was made, but the layout is still imperfect.  Please see the attachment.

Look like there is a CSS conflict with your theme. This is normal, not all theme authors write code the same way.

Can you please create few event, fill your information and let me know when you are ready to check it again and fix the visible conflicts.

Can you please go to the plugin Fonts & Colors settings and on the bottom check "Add !important rule" to all the tabs because your theme overwrite the fonts settings.

It did not work by pasting the code in the plugin's custom CSS. I tried pasting it in the custom CSS of the theme and it worked

    Valentin replied

Are you sure? The custom style section should work properly. Basically it do the same thing as what you did, but more user friendly.

Is it possible to give me wp admin access to see what is going on with the custom style tab? You can pose the information here privately.

Look like it's cache. Browser or if you are using any cache plugins you can clear them out. The Custom Tab is working properly.

If you notice any more conflicts when adding more content in the future, just let me know and I will fix them for you.

I am going to need to duplicate a lot of events, but it seems like there are a couple of extra steps that make this task time consuming as shown in this video clip I recorded.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

This issue should be resolved in version 2.4.8?

If you're using older version I'd suggest you to update via the calendar updater.

  • Molly Perry replied

That did resolve the issue.  Thank you.

Is there a way to search for events in the past or future?

  •  94
    Valentin replied

The search option should be showing all events in the calendar. You can help by entering additional keywords in the event creation page.
