Id like to be able to subscribe to the Stachethemes event calendar from either a google calendar or an ical / outlook calendar. Usually this can be done via an http(s) link as with other google or ical calendars. is this feature available with the event calendar?

Yes, it's not in the documentation but can be done. Here's export to ics url example:
replace 967 with your calendar id number.
