    Hi,

    First question would be, what is the true purpose of "attendance" feature for single events?

    Second question - why it is not possible to add custom locations and then just select them when adding events? We have like 100 events with 7 different locations and just because of this coding flaw we have to enter them manually with coordinates everywhere. What is even worse - when changing location you just want to throw away the plugin. What is bad here as well - if we misspell the name, it gets added as a different location in filters... We really don't understand the purpose of this style of coding.

    Third question - organizers. WHY IS IT CODED THE SAME AS LOCATIONS? Isn't it just easier to add custom predone fields to select  from when adding event? Same situation here - organizer changes - it must be changed everywhere.

    Anyway, I am saying these questions as these should be a must in this type of plugin and before buying obviously we looked at the demos and it looked like it does what we need, but now we feel mislead with design that we saw and the coding behind it...

    Good Morning,

    I understand what you mean and this is something we are about to change soon. The organizer feature was added very quickly as customer request and I understand how the way it work can be a problem to you. We have plans to change the way Location and Organizer are created and selected, but unfortunately right now is not possible to give you any ETA on the update (will have to consult with the developer and will have more information later).

    About the "attendance" when the plugin was first created 3 years ago the idea behind the feature was to invite your users to events and when they log in to be able to select Attend or Decline from the Event Description. This is something that is on our to-do list to be changed and work more like RSVP.

    I will talk with the developer later today when he is available to give you more information when the said changed can be expected.

    First of - thank you for quick reply. Obviously I don't want to offend anyone and just want the product at it's best and maybe even contribute for further development.

    Anyhow, I've read somewhere already that this feature is under development and would be nice to hear updates when should we expect this. 

    I have asked about the attendance mainly because there is a field to enter email and send information to that user. I find it tricky in terms of when in need to add attending persons without confirmation. It would be more useful if the plugin would be able to send these type of notifications when something changes in the event, i.e. ideally this should be a must when event time changes, there should be a possibility to notify  organizer or attendant by email. Maybe I don't know something and it could perform this type of task?

    Hello again,

    Just discussed this with the developer and look like the Location and Organizer will be changed in the next update. You will can create list of organizers and locations and add them when create event. About the attendance I think this will take some more time if we decide to redesign the feature in real RSVP.

    Right now is not possible to give you ETA on the update, but you can check our Facebook page where we can make such announcements.

    Thank you, will be waiting for update then!

    Ye I mean about attendance I just wanted to ask mainly maybe you already have some sort of similar feature setup somewhere around the plugin, where organizers, attendees or post creator would be notified if something changes in the events.

    I don't know whether it is present in the plugin or not, but if it was, that would be beneficial in many areas that the plugin could be used.

    No it's not present and the moment, but I don't see why not be included in the update. What kind of changes you want to be shared with organizers and attendees? Changes of times, location (something specific) or just any change in the event content?

    Morning,

    It would be very useful that attendees and/or organizers would receive notifications on relevant event changes.

    However, I am not sure what is the best way to approach this for you from coding perspective.

    Inform the organizers and/or attendees on time and location changes is a must in my opinion, I am not sure about content changes. It might be easier to code on any changes, however, this might lead to plugin sending many emails when someone makes irrelevant updates on events.

    Yes I agree. I think we can start with changes of Location and Time & Date and see from there if anything else feel important enough to be mail off.
