Our current calendar, which we do not like, has the ability to have users select from a pre-populated list of organizers (which we call Units) and a pre-populated list of tags (which we call Audience) - see links below. The user cannot create new ones. Is this possible in this plugin?
Also - is it possible to set defaults? So the categories (which we call channels) have a color associated with them in your plugin. Can the event automatically take on the category's color rather than having the user select?
At the moment Organizers are created individually for each even. This however is about to change very soon.
Right now I'm doing final testing on the next update which will add RSVP feature to the calendar and after that I'm going to re-design the way Organizers and Locations are created and selected. Basically you will can create list of Organizers and Locations and pick them when create an event.
I'm not really sure what the commcal-taglist is. Is this something like categories?
Just noticed you have some minor CSS conflicts there. To fix them please put this css code into the plugin Fonts & Colors -> Custom Styles and save the changes.
.stec-layout-event-preview-left-text-title { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } body .stec-layout-month-daylabel p { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } body .stec-layout-week-daylabel p { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } .stec-layout-agenda .stec-layout-agenda-monthstart-year { margin-bottom: 0 !important; }
The commcal-tags list would be like keywords in your plugin. Instead of having a user start typing (and giving them the ability to create new keywords), we have a list of keywords already populated and they must choose only from those (they are checkboxes instead of a type-in freeform field).
Basically, right now, the user logs in (which I need to create a login button/link on this plugin's calendar) and then they add a new "event," where they type in the name, the date (it's automatically set to all day and the end date is automatically the same as the start date), the category, then they choose from a list of organizers and a list of keywords. Then they click save.
Hopefully this makes sense. I've outlined the steps they go through the form in the links below:
I see now. As I said the Organizers will be re-designed soon, categories are already there, but our keywords are typed in the field. Will see if this can be added the re-design planed for Organizers and Locations but this seems very situational for your project. Still will see what can be done.
Unfortunately can't give you ETA on the update right now.
Thank you for the reply! I'm looking forward to seeing the new update. Perhaps if Locations can be pre-determined (and user can choose from a list), we could use that for our Audiences instead of keywords. I'll keep an eye out. This is such a better plugin than what we're using, we just need a couple more things to make it work.
Keep an eye on the plugin Facebook Page, I'm usually posting on what I'm working and when will be released there. I'm trying to release the RSVP update till the end of the week and start the new update next week.

Two more things I've missed:
body .stec-layout-event-preview-left-text-date { margin-bottom: 0 !important; }
.stec-layout-agenda .stec-layout-agenda-events-all-load-more p { margin-bottom: 0 !important; }

I thought it might be useful to show the backend...
