Is there any way to strip out erroneous functionality or generally improve the speed of the tool?
I have included a large calendar block on the front page of my site, however it's causing me major issues with site load speeds as measured by Google PageSpeed Insights.
Any suggestions or guidance as to how to optimise the specific calendar integration for speed would be much appreciated.
I've just checked your home page and I don't seem to see issues with the loading speed. In fact loading time is pretty decent.
In order to get perfect score on Google's page speed insight you will have to leave the page blank so I'd suggest you to stop caring about this tool since in my opinion it does not represent the reality.
What I noticed however is if you load your site via http protocol it won't force https and this causes problems with loading scripts fonts etc... I'd recommend you to force https in your .htaccess to prevent accidental access via http.
