I want to be able to display all of the events for a year. Is there a way to do that?
The agenda view seems to be only for the active month.
And, how are your database tables organized? I want the event to have a location and organizer, contact info, etc. I do not need that to be in separate table where I have to associate the event with a location (like in The events calendar, which I don't want to use).
Lastly, what is your refund policy if I try it and don't like it?

You could use the agenda list view like displayed here: https://stachethemes.com/wp-demos/the-calendar/agenda/
and then add cat filter to the shortcode. Example:
where 1,2,3,4 are category id numbers
