When I click Load More and RSVP *using modal/popup) to an event, the calendar reloads back to the top. When dealing with hundreds of events in date order, this means user needs to scroll all the way back to where they were. Anyway to prevent fresh after RSVP modal.

I think it could be done but rsvp changes won't be visible until the user refresh the layout.
Replace file stachethemes_event_calendar / assets / js / front / rsvp.min.js with the one from the archive I've attached.
This problem is non-existent in the upcoming version.
