Filters and hoooks (the ones that are added to the theme functions.php file) don't get overriden on update.
However, changes to the core files will be overriden on update. We usually suggest such edits as a last resort. If the core edit is due to a bug we make sure to include the change in the next version of the calendar so the users don't have to do it again.
Dear Zhivko,
I read in a ticket, that you recommend a user to change the code of the plugin (as you can see here: https://stachethemes.ticksy.com/ticket/2990167/).
My question is: If I change code by me myself, will this code not be overwritten, when you release an update?
Thanks for your response in advance,
Vincent

Ah! I didn't see, that in the related post your suggestion was for the functions.php file. Yeah in fact I use a child theme to prevent from such.
Thanks for your quick response. This ticket can be closed.
