I really like the plugin so far, but the frontned loading time is very poor. Even if only one event is displayed it takes so much time to load. Is there any way to avoid that long loading timer?

Is it possible to switch of the Maps Integration completely? We have some very strict data protection rules in the EU and your solution is unfortunately not compliant.

Go to Dashboard -> STEC -> General -> Misc tab and turn off "Ajax Events" option.
