    Hello,

On my website, I only need STEC to be translated and for this translation to only load on select few pages.

Loco Translate that your documentation recommends does a great job in localizing STEC, but it is meant to be used on a monolingual foreign-language site, which is not my case.

.mo and .po files for STEC have already been translated using Loco, so I should be able to upload the translation to another multilingual website solution.

In the linked URL above, you can see that the FR-translated STEC appears on EN pages. In other words, it's no better that having STEC unlocalized on the FR pages.

Would you have any advice on this matter? I am stuck. How can I translate STEC without redoing my whole website??

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience!

    Hi,

If I dont hear from you, Im going to do a multisite, bc Loco is great for STEC, but this is ridiculous, because I'm doing all of this for only 2 pages.

I hope you can see this and let me know if there is a better solution!

    Hi,

The page at https://artviewmtl.com/en, despite having "/en" in the URL, is a French-localized page. You can verify this in the HTML.

So, this has to do with your page setup.

Yes and that is irrelevant to my question, because I am not looking for a French website, I am looking for a multilingual site. Until I solve it, Im keeping my site language FR, because that is the majority of my audience. This is irrelevant to my question.

My question is how can I have a multilingual website when only Loco can translate all the STEC strings and when Loco translations can be applied only as a site language (which in turn necessitates me to create a multisite network for 2 little pages)

I hope my question is clearer now and that you can answer it quickly-- your last message was not helpful at all :(

Loco Translate is used to generate the .po files. Once the files are generated you can deactivate or uninstall Loco Translate. It does not stop you from using Polylang or WPML for example.
